Anti Social Behaviour

What is anti social behaviour?

There is no precise definition of anti social behaviour.  Broadly, it is acting in a way that causes or likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.  To be anti social behaviour, the behaviour must be persistent.

Anti-social behaviour is either the tenant/owner, members of the household or visitors who display  behaviour such as:

• Intimidating neighbours and others through threats or actual violence.
• Harassment.
• verbal abuse.
• Harassment on the grounds of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.
• Noise.
• Dumping of rubbish.
• Animal nuisance, including dog fouling.
• Vandalism, property damage and graffiti.

What action can we take?

We can take action against freeholders or leaseholders in the same way as we would deal with any other covenant breach.

What can I do if I witness Anti Social Behaviour?

If the incident is serious you must contact the Police immediately giving as much information as possible. All incidents need to be reported to Bournville Stewardship Services either by:

If I report an incident of Anti Social Behaviour will my details remain confidential?

Yes -The Personal details of the complainant is kept confidential.  We would not release this information without the complainants’ agreement.
